HYBRID TECHNOLOGY
The Subaru Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid utilizes Subaru StarDriveTM Technology, which creates a seamless link between the electric motors and the SUBARU BOXER® gasoline engine. The battery pack can be replenished in one of two ways: by plugging the vehicle into an outlet or by simply driving, with the gas engine providing on-the-fly recharging. The Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid sends power to all four wheels via Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD, yet is rated at 2.6 Le/100 km and up to 774 km of total range. Plug-in Charging
Using the standard battery charger, you can plug the vehicle into any 120V household outlet (Level 1) and fully recharge the battery in approximately five hours. When using a 240V outlet (Level 2), the same process takes approximately two hours. Most commercial charging stations have 240V capability, meaning you can quickly recharge and make the most of the hybrid powertrain.

The standard SI-DRIVE engine management system allows drivers to choose between two modes, Intelligent (I) and Sport (S), for increased efficiency or greater response. The Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid also features 450 kg (1,000 lbs) of towing capacity, giving you the ability to have bigger adventures.
Subaru Global Platform
Built on the new Subaru Global Platform, the Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid benefits from an ultra-strong overall structure and a proprietary design that manages twisting forces on the vehicle, slashes vibration, and reduces resonance throughout the body, steering, floor and seats. Flexible Cargo Area
The expansive cargo area in the Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid features a wide tailgate opening that makes loading bulkier items a snap. The standard 60/40-split flat-folding rear seats provide enough space for three adult passengers or even more cargo-carrying capacity. The total cargo volume with the rear seats folded down is 1220 litres.
